Alexandra was born in 1992 in to a family of musicians in Chisinau, Moldova. At the age of 7 she started to play violin at the Musical Lyceum S. Rachmaninov. Her first teacher was Lidia Dolinscaia , then she continued her studies with Daniel Fedorean, and later with Ecaterina Tirsu. Now Alexandra is studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, with the famous teacher Anton Sorokow.

From the early childhood Alexandra Tirsu went to different competitions and festivals, where she always took the best prizes. Here are some of them :
International music competitions: “ Cornelia Bronzetti” in 2003 , Romania ( 1st Prize) ; “ The Muse “ 2009 , Greece ( Gold Medal ); “Gianluca Campochiaro” 2010 , Italy ( GRAND PRIX) ; “ The Virtuous of Russian Music” 2011, Moldova ( 1st Prize), “ Schlern Music Competition” 2012 , Italy ( 1st Prize) ;
“Stefanie Hohl Violin Wettberwerb” 2014, Vienna (3rd Prize)

During this period, Alexandra performed many concerts with different Orchestras in Moldova, Romania, Italy, China, Croatia, Austria . She is taking a big part in the musical activities in Moldova.

Alexandra Tirsu likes very much Chamber music and playing in Orchestra . She was honored to become the concertmaster of Central European Initiative Youth Orchestra (C.E.I.) in 2010 and one year later she became concertmaster of Chisinau Youth Orchestra (Moldavian Youth Orchestra). Alexandra was member of Wiener Jeunesse Orchestra (Vienna Youth Orchestra) and Purpur Orchestra and performed with them at the big concert halls as Musikverein and Vienna Konzert Haus .
In 2012 she was a member of Schlern Musik Festival in Italy, Norwegian Youth Chamber Festival, Queen Violin Festival and others.

Alexandra worked and took masterclasses with many excellent musicians as Uto Ughi, Ivry Gitlis , Dora Schwarzberg , Vladimir Landsman, Lars Anders Tomter, Vagram Sarajyan, Magdalena Fernandes, Christoph Eggner, Vasile Goia, Mikhail Kazinik, Alexandre Brussilovsky and many others.

Now Alexandra is taking part in many festivals in Europe and performs on big stages in Vienna and other cities of Europe.
